  • If you are packing yourself, use smaller boxes for books and heavier items.
  • Put aside any important items such as car keys, passports and legal documents so they are easily accessible
  • Try and make sure you fill a box to the top as this will prevent it from crushing if stacked.
  • Tape the bottom of the box two or three times to make sure nothing falls out.
  • When self-dismantling your furniture, keep  the nuts and bolts safe and close to hand
  • If you have pictures/mirrors that cannot fit in a box, leave them to our team and we will wrap them for you.
  • Declutter - try not to pack anything that you no longer need, try and figure out before you start packing what to get rid of, keep, sell or donate.
  • Invest in quality moving boxes as they're sturdier and more reliable. Take a look at our high quality packing materials.
  • Start packing early, packing always takes longer than expected.
  • The loft is a good place to start packing first.
  • Do not forget to label your boxes, which room they are from and what items are in the box.
  • Stack plates on their sides and wrap individually.
  • Take pictures of electronics - having pictures will make it easier to set up your TV or monitor when you are setting up again.
  • Any storage container or luggage bag can be put to use by filling with clothes, towels and shoes.
