  • Why should I choose a BAR Member?

    Being part of the BAR means that members of professional companies must keep to high standards of service. The members are checked annually to make sure they are keeping to the certain requirements regarding staff, vehicles, premises and facilities.   • Will my furniture get placed to where I want it?

    If you have some sort of idea where you would want your furniture placed then our team will be able to place it into the room you allocate. However please note that time is of the essence, and we will not be able to rearrange constantly.

  • Will you empty my loft?

    Our team usually will not enter the loft due to insurance reasons, however they can still help with accepting boxes, bags and furniture from yourself by passing it down to us.

  • Do you dis-mantle and re-assemble?

    We offer a dis-mantle and re-assemble service of beds and wardrobes; this can be discussed with the surveyor or with the office staff.

  • What size are your vehicles?

    We have a range of vehicles from Lutons, one 15-ton lorry and two 18-ton lorries.

  • What type of containers do you have in storage?

    We use wooden containers inside our purpose-built storage. The size of the containers are 250 cubic feet and 5ft wide, 7ft high and 8ft deep.

  • Can I get something out of my container whenever I want?

    If you wish to access your furniture or items that are in storage, there is a £10 + VAT per hour handling charge. We request a minimum of one weeks’ notice to bring your container down and onto the floor.

  • Do I get boxes with my move?

    If you request boxes then we can add them to your quote, look here at what type of packing materials we have.

  • Do I have to empty my chest of drawers?

    If the drawers to your chest can come out then it is fine to leave items in them. However, we do advise to take anything out that may break or spill.

  • What items am I not allowed to keep in storage?

    The items that are not allowed in store are Flammable items such as, gas bottles, open tins of paints, plants, any open food, like oils and sauces.

  • How do I pay for storage?

    Storage payments are paid in advance every 28 days. We except Bacs and card payments, it is better to set up standing order if you are in storage long term.

  • How do I pay for my removal?

    A 30% deposit of the removal cost is taken to book your removal once your dates have been confirmed. The full payment is then taken the day before your move.

  • Do I have to empty my freezer?

    It is best to start to run down your freezer on the build up to your removal if you are moving locally. If you are moving long distance, we recommend you emptying the freezer completely.

  • Can I take gas cylinders or flammable liquids when moving?

    Gas cylinders and flammable liquids are not covered under our insurance, so alternative arrangements will have to be made by yourself. Mowers and garden equipment with fuel must be drawn of fuel before the move.

  • When is the best time to book my removal?

    We ask for two weeks’ notice but understand that this may not be possible. It is advisable to check with the remover before any dates are confirmed.

  • What is a key waiver?

    The (late) key wavier provides protection against a delayed access time into your new property. It provides an extended three-hour waiting period from the completion time for your new property. If the key waiver is declined the standard waiting time of one hour will apply, after which extra charges will occur.

  • What is a cancellation waiver?

    Our cancellation waiver will protect you against the risk of postponement or cancellation.
